You will need:
Paper bags measuring approx 12 x 6 inches
(I have used 3 for this one, which gives 10 pages inside plus 3 pockets)

bazzill card - 2 or 3 co-ordinating colours - cut into 6 inch squares
patterned paper - cut into 6 inch squares
chipboard embellishments or plain chipboard to make your own
Rub ons/ embellishments of your choice
To make:
Lay the bags together with the openings alternating each end.
Using your sewing machine sew the bags together up the center. Two lines make the join stronger.

Fold over to create book.

Layer the bazzill and paper to cover the front and add title. I have used a Chip Chat with the title printed onto safmat.

Front Cover
Decorating the pages
Page One - I have created a pocket by cutting 1 1/2inches off one of the paper squares, and attaching it to a bazzill square on 3 sides only.
Two mounted photos have been slipped into the pocket.
Page 1
Page 2 - is a square of bazzill with the photo matted straight onto it and a corner and strip cut out of one of the papers.
Again, I have printed the wording onto safmat and adhered it to a chip chat.
On another bazzill square I matted a photo of the castle and a strip of paper.
On the other side I matted three photos and arranged them in a flip style format. This will insert into the first pocket.

Page 3 - is a side opening pocket with a photo matted onto the paper and another inside the pocket on co-ordinating paper with the back left blank for journalling.

Page 4 - is a photo matted onto bazzill and then onto a square of paper.
A ribbon was attached close to the bottom and the wording was written on a bazzill offcut and mounted on chipboard.

Pages 5 and 6 - the lay outs are pretty straight forward. The shield was made on a Craft Robo!

Page 6
Page 7 - I have created 2 pockets by scoring and folding a square of bazzill at 2, 3 and 5 inches, then attaching them to the paper on 3 sides only.
Off cut strips of the same paper were stuck on the front of each pocket.
The photos were mounted on both sides of double sided paper.
Page 7
Page 8 - the corner was cut out and mounted onto chipboard for a 3d effect.

Page 9 - Another pocket, this time sewn onto bazzill. Photo inside matted onto bazzill with journalling on back.
Page 9
Page 10 - I stuck a 2inch offcut strip of paper onto the centre of a bazzill square and matted 2 smaller photos in the corners.
To cover up where they overlapped I used a spare corner, cut to shape. On the reverse side of the same paper I wrote the title and mounted it on chipboard.
I have left the second pocket empty at present to store spare photos and have used the other pocket to put the map of the castle in.

I covered the back of the journal with a spare square of paper..

I hope you will enjoy making paper bag journals as much as I have!
