Everlasting Keepsakes - Framegandoes by Kirsty

All chipboard used in these projects are from the range by Everlasting Keepsakes.  See them all {here}.....

This fits perfectly on curves and when painted in a co-ordinating colour to your projects make it bold!

Its such a whimsical little flourish and would look good on a corner or circle edge.  I think this would be beautiful dabbed with gold paint too.

The circle tags are perfect for journalling, placing your title or adding as an accent.  I love painting chipboard more than covering in paper and on the "Birthday Girl" layout, I even sanded the edges after painting to add more dimension to the heavily textured page.

The laser cut dies included in the set co-ordinate perfectly giving you a pack of chipboard shapes with a little extra.  I used the de-bossed Pocket Locket tag as the header for the mini book which I made with the packaging from all the chipboard I have used.

The book label effect chipboard needn't be used just for edges and titles.  Make a feature of them by adding photos and painting them boldly so that they stand out.  Ive used ribbon to tie mine together which fits in well with the theme of family (family ties, no less) and I called the layout "its all relative".

I think when using chipboard, it makes much more sense to paint it in the boldest shade to make it more pronounced.

The beauty of plain chipboard is that it accepts paints and glossy accents beautifully (and quick!) plus you can match it to your project colours far more easily as well, whereas covering it in patterned paper takes an absolute age.

Never be afraid to take a craft knife to the edges to distress them neither or lightly sand to take away square edges.
