Hi Everyone!!
Caroline kindly sent me some of her most unusual chipboard last month to make up some layouts to show you how you can get the best from these quirky objects. Its divine to be able to let them sit on my desk for a few weeks as I wonder how best I can use them and in no time, they are quickly altered to make a statement on my layouts with practically no other bulky embellishments to spoil the view! Topiary Tree

Its always nice to have a strong focal point on a layout and it needn't be always your photo. This lovely little Topiary Tree was crying out to be painted in them matching colours of my paper with a touch of bling to really show it off.
I think that when people consider buying chipboard they think the shape must fit the subject. And I say make your subject fit your chipboard or even NOT as the case maybe. The fun thing about sturdy and robust objects like chipboard is that it will make a statement on a layout and you can decorate as you see fit. You could use this type ofchipboard on garden layouts, wedding layouts, home layouts but really - anything goes.....
Heart and flower frame

Oh how could you possibly not buy such a shape? Fit for any purpose where love and loveliness are concerned. I much like to paint my chipboard and not always necessarily in one colour.

Painting each individual flower was therapeutic to me although I did consider heat embossing with UTEE on this shape. The heart makes a perfect frame and to add some dimension, I added buttons on the heart to make the chipboard a real focal point on the layout.
Why not check out all those fabulous chip board shapes and consider stocking up on those essential focal point for your pages? They are completely irresistable.
